Of units and such.

Any respectable unit will have a standard-bearer and a fearsome leader. That being the case, I'm glad I finished painting my Black Dragon ones!

Standard-bearer in mid painting
Honestly, one of the coolest minis I've ever seen.
Starting to come together

Formation "Let's all hug and get blasted by a mortar shell"

The standard-bearer was super easy and fun to paint. Honestly, I'm glad I'm starting with these guys, as painting the other minis will be a breeze. Well, most of the other figs. I'm seriously considering painting the remaining 7 grunts in an assembly line, painting one color at a time. In theory, I would spend one final sesh just fixing all the mistakes. I shall report back once it's done. I really need to figure out if this method would be efficient. This is why:

My minis are ready for some TLC. Also, best way to listen to my audiobooks.

Speed Painting!

"Let me charge FACE FIRST! ARGGH!"

So, I finished painting another pikeman. In this case, it is their fearless officer, Mr.Yen Sid  Jr. (thanks Nikki). He was fun to paint, and having an angry face to work on was a welcomed change. I'm a big fan of the Khardic Flesh color. I'm very impressed on how natural it looks, even though it might be a bit too dark for tundra dwellers like Khadorians.

Ready for a makeover!

Getting there

Dunzo!
And here is Emily's Human Ranger named Bastilla. We wanted to get our Pathfinder minis done in a jiffy, so we could get extra XP (our GM offered experience points if we play painted minis). The process took somewhere between one to two hours. Bastilla served as a wonderful guinea pig (unbeknownst to Emily) for my new dark teal paint. I think it looks great!

If Sandor Clegane was a cleric

Last, but not least, is Emeritus. This guy took a bit more time to finish, as Emily was already asleep by the time I was done (we started about the same time). Mini is more than perfect for our games. My only complaint is that the model's face is a bit weird, but hey, for $3 this makes for a pretty plastic fig.
